Biography

Emily trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. It was there that she enjoyed playing such roles as Mary in "Juno and the Paycock" and Masha in Chekov's "Three Sisters". Her real love however is comedy and it was when she was given the role of Grandma in Edward Albee's "The American Dream" that she really excelled.

After leaving Webber her professional theatre debut was a 16 week tour of "Full Circle" with Joan Collins which she thoroughly enjoyed. She has 2 feature films to her name, Selywn Robert's, "Heroes and Villains" and she played a leading role in Kai Maurer's "Splinter". She also toured the UK in the 12 week run of "Virgins", which received rave reviews for its run at the Edinburgh Festival in the summer.

Emily has just finished creating and performing the part of "Chardonnay" in Colin Teevan’s adaptation of the Greek Classic "Iphigenia in Aulis", entitled "IPH. . . " at Colchester’s Mercury Theatre.

She is the daughter of actors Edward Woodward and Michele Dotrice.
