After RADA, Maroussia Frank went on a TIE tour, and spent three years at the Worthing and Oxford reps as ASM/small parts before joining the RSC in 1960, playing small parts (again!), and understudying. Here she met and married Ian Richardson, and worked only sporadically as an actress, becoming principally his secretary/PA, although during this time she also appeared in several epidodes of ‘Dr Finlay’s Casebook’, ‘Moonstrike’ and ‘The Moonstone’, and was in Peter Brook’s ‘Marat/Sade’ both on stage (Aldwych and Broadway) and on film. Latterly she understudied Diana Rigg, Janet Suzman and Vanessa Redgrave in the Australian/Canadian tours of ‘The Hollow Crown’.
After Ian’s death in 2007, she appeared in ‘The Last Confession, as Sister Vincenza (Chichester, Tour, Haymarket).
